Rosemary J. Chapdelaine Named As President Of Lockheed Martin Canada

Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] has named Rosemary J. Chapdelaine president and general manager of Lockheed Martin Canada.

Chapdelaine joins Lockheed Martin Canada after serving in several executive positions within the corporation at locations in both the United States and the United Kingdom.  Most recently, she served as a director of business development for Lockheed Martin’s Mission Systems & Sensors business in Owego, N.Y.

In this position, she will lead our more than 500 employees to deliver on our development, production and in-service support programs for all branches of the Canadian Forces, including the mid-life upgrade to the Royal Canadian Navy’s Halifax-class frigates.

Since joining the company in 1985, she has held several management and leadership positions in the United States and United Kingdom, recently serving as director of MH-60 – the US navy’s maritime helicopter — production programs in Owego, N.Y., before assuming leadership of business development for the company’s electronic product line segment earlier this year.

Rosemary has a record of building strong customer relationships, marked by consistently high contractor performance assessment reviews. Under her leadership, the MH-60 team earned the Top Hawk Award from the U.S. Navy’s Naval Air Systems Command for outstanding support to the fleet and Aviation Week’s Program Excellence Award for exceptional leadership.

A graduate of the mechanical engineering program at the University of Washington, her technical background includes helicopter missions systems, aircraft avionics, ground based electronic warfare, processors and displays, and human factors engineering.
