Yesterday Lockheed Martin was pleased to sponsor and participate in a charity golf tournament planned and hosted by Rivermead Golf Club in support of the Royal Canadian Dragoons Guild.
The families who stand beside and behind those who serve Canada in uniform often sacrifice much and carry an enormous load in anonymity and without asking for anything back.
The event raised more than $35,000 for the Guild which will give its family programs a transformative boost.

Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] has signed a contract with the Republic of Korea to provide the nation four C-130J Super Hercules aircraft.
Korea’s new Super Hercules will be the longer fuselage or “stretched” combat delivery variant. Deliveries will be in 2014 and the contract also contains a two-year support program including aircrew and maintenance training. Korea joins 14 other nations that have selected the proven C 130J.

The State of Qatar has signed a $393.6 million contract with Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] for the purchase of four C-130J Super Hercules airlifters plus training and spares with deliveries to begin in 2011. Qatar’s new C-130Js will be the longer fuselage or “stretched” variant of the C-130J.
