During the night on November 19th, the first of Canada’s 17 CC-130Js was moved to the final position on the Marietta production line.  Following trim and leak testing, the aircraft will be heading to the Marietta facility’s south campus for paint and flight testing. Read more

Props Installed on Canada’s First CC-130J

Canada’s first CC-130J continues its steady progress down the production line in Marietta, Georgia.   Its distinctive six-bladed propellers are now installed.  It is followed on the line by Canada’s second aircraft.  Deliveries to Canada begin in the spring of 2010. Read more

USAF Europe and Africa Command Add Another Proven C-130J Super Hercules to their Airlift Fleet

Marietta, Georgia Maj. Gen. Michael Snodgrass, chief of staff, U.S. Africa Command, Stuttgart, Germany,  today accepted the seventh of 14 Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] C-130Js to be based at Ramstein Air Base, Germany.  The USAF Europe C-130Js based at Ramstein also support the airlift needs of Africa Command.
