A March 31st Defense Daily article by B.C. Kessner reported that Israel has joined the list of countries interested in acquiring C-130Js. “We’re expecting a decision in the next few months,” Bob Weiss, vice president business development for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, told reporters at a press conference here Wednesday. USAF Prefers More C-130Js

A March 26th article by Gayle Putrich in Defense News reported that US Air Force top brass told Congress they would prefer more C-130Js over other cargo lifters. “If you gave me another dollar, I would know exactly where to spend it” – on C-130Js, Air Force Secretary Michael Wynne said at a March 20 hearing of the Senate Armed Services Committee. “We would want to backstop tactical airlift with C-130Js,” he said. Lockheed Martin Delivers Frist C-130J for Air Mobility Command

Marietta, Georgia Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] today delivered the first C-130J Super Hercules to an Air Mobility Command active duty combat delivery unit.
